Food & Exercise Journal - Day Ten: 356 Days Left

Another day is almost over. I can't believe it is 1 year and a little less than a month until graduation! It's so crazy. It was so hard to go to class today. For a moment, I couldn't remember what classes I had today and what times they were at. I guess my brain is either still on Spring Break or is already on summer vacation. Which, honestly, my true summer vacation won't begin until after May. You see, I have to take a Western Civ class in order to graduate, and from what fellow students have been telling me, it's hard. So, I've opted to take it during the summer, where I will have fewer distractions and I can focus solely on that one class. Also, during the summer, I will be going to Stratford, Canada again. I am so excited, not only because I LOVE it up in Canada, but because the class I'm taking for it will be going toward my minor. How awesome is that?

Speaking of awesome, I've subscribed to these really cool guys on YouTube known as TheSlowMoGuys. They're pretty fantastic. I'll link a video at the bottom of this post just so you all can see how cool these guys really are. And by the way, Gavin Free is one of TheSlowMoGuys, and he is the one who did all of the slow motion for the film "Sherlock Holmes 2". Pretty cool right? Anyway, I'm off topic. Here are my journals for the day :)

Food Journal

Breakfast
Nada

Lunch
1 cup of spaghetti w/ 2 tablespoons of sauce and 2 tablespoons of parmesan cheese
1 glass of Diet Coke
1 cup of chocolate ice cream

Daily Water Count

8 bottles x 20 fl.oz./bottle = 160 fl.oz.

Sleep Journal

12:30 AM - 9:00 AM = 8.5 hours

All right, my little darlings. That is it for the day, so I shall bid thee a fond fair-thee-well until the morrow. Oh! And anyone who is interested in a little bit of fun acting in a short one-act, come to the auditions at Oklahoma Christian in GC11 at 6:30 this Thursday and Friday! Other than that, have a fantastic night, and I will post again tomorrow!

There they are! TheSlowMoGuys! Enjoy the video!

Food & Exercise Journal - Day Seven: 359 Days Left

Well, the results are in...and I gained 0.6 lbs. However, I spoke to my Weight Watcher's leader, and she said that it is perfectly normal for that to happen, and that my results will more than likely appear on the scale next week. Here's hoping! Anyway, this is going to be a very very short blog post, as it is late, and I do have church in the morning. I did not get the chance to exercise today, seeing as I thought 2 more hours of sleep would be more valuable (and I was correct by the way) so there won't be any exercise journal for today.

Food Journal

Breakfast

1 Egg and Cheese on Chiobatta Bread

Lunch
Chicken Nuggets
Medium Diet Coke

Dinner

Day One - 365 Days to Go

Well, I would like to open this post by telling you a little bit about myself. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Skylar. I am a 21 year old junior Theatre Performance Major at Oklahoma Christian University.

For most of my life, I have struggled with my weight. I have tried literally everything out there. From counting calories, to cutting out carbs, to going vegetarian (the most difficult day and a half of my life my the way), to not eating at all. Absolutely nothing worked. Until my mom and I decided to join Weight Watchers. All was going well, until we got too busy to go to meetings. Soon, we left. A year later, we came back. Same thing happened. Now, we're back, and have been for nearly a year now. I haven't put my heart and soul into it, and as a result, my weight has done nothing but yo yo for the past year. I'd lose a couple of pounds, then gain them back. Finally, I am just tired of living the way that I am. I want to be healthy, I want to live longer. I want to be able to live life without having to worry about heart problems, or diabetes, or have to be on a million medications when I get older. That is the reason why I am doing this. Not purely for aesthetic reasons, although they certainly are a perk. I want to live a healthier life style.

Hence, where I got the idea for this blog. For the next 365 days, I will be typing what I've had to eat, drink, and how I've exercised throughout the day. I will warn you, if anyone is reading this, there may be a day or two where I do not post. And there will be about 10 days in June where I will not have any access to a computer. But do not fear. I will write everything down by hand, and then put it into my blog.

This blog will also include a "Weight Update" every Saturday afternoon, seeing as I go to Weight Watchers meetings on Saturday mornings, then yoga afterwards. And hopefully, by the end of this 365 day period, I will be down to 120 pounds, my lifetime goal.

The official start to my "Food Diary" and "Exercise Diary" will begin tomorrow. My "Weight Update" will begin tonight.

Weight Update:

Weight as of 3/17/12: 221 pounds.
Pounds lost: 4 pounds
Pounds to go: 101 pounds
